Exercise to keep the muscle…
Something I always tell my clients…
"I do not know everything you know so I have to tell you everything I know that will help you reach your goal."
Sometimes I have to start from the story, back of the story..
And that is because is important to protect what you will understand from me, clarifying and erasing old information...
I have caught myself in many of this traps, like when we read that high insulin stores body fat...
and high glucose inhibits muscle growth...
but it didn't said that for insulin to get high, calories have to exceed your maintenance calories, meaning that you do not move the whole day and you over eat... as it does happens with glucose..
But if I have only read the first paper..
I would still believing that carbohydrates raise insulin because they are fastest to reach it...
That I now, know that is actually good.
Because it tells our body when we are full..
Knowing the best exercises to build muscle or the exercises to burn (use) the most calories, we get to believe those are the exercises we have to do in order to change and if we can’t perform them, means we will not get the results..
Here’s the trick…
The transformation will happen on our journey to do, perform and master them…
Transformation is not a next day thing…
We have to keep ourselves focus on something else that is not the end result because we do not want to be hating ourselves in the process
Somedays we will like ourselves and somedays we won’t..
That is not because we are not progressing, but because we get affected by people who we are around us too..
No because people are bad but because lets be honest,
Some people are just naturally good looking and can make us feel a little bad with ourselves…
That is just common human behavior..
Is not about you being less…
The way exercise transforms you is at rest…
When is resting…
Your body makes all neuronal connections = memory, when resting…
TRAINING is the damage of those areas so they can build back up...
This building mechanism is the stimulation that holds the muscle when a balance diet helps our body expand calories and eliminate the storage…
You actually do not eliminate fat..
Remember that energy can’t be created or destroyed..
It can only be transformed…
Exercise is what helps our body process all our body's processes (metabolism), so that our diet helps not only by being less food but by using energy we already have to process the nutrients our body requires to keep control in our daily behavior..
No so fast….
I am not saying that you should not do cardio to help you out…
I am saying is always important to grab the concept of why we do things because what ultimately give our results is what we understand of what we do…
That is our mindset..
We make it stronger by getting the information to understand the process..
This process make us patient…
Patience is key…
Because it makes us happy…
I recently read the secrets of life and one of them said happiness is in our problems; “Our problems are what make us happy”
With my clients who might start struggling to understand macros, calories or to understand movements in exercise…
I say...
Feel happy that you can’t do them or that you are learning them…
Because the feeling you get when you get it is priceless…
Learning isn’t about understanding everything at once, but about understanding one single thing at a time…
It’s like if you were releasing air!
Be okay where you are…
Because believe me…
I miss those moments…
Of course I am very happy with where I am now because now I get excited to help my clients get it..
Last thing for me to say…
Getting it isn’t something you have to know when you do it…
Getting it is what you realize after you did it that shows you how you did it…
